Watermark announce Martin House Children’s Hospice as its nominated charity
We are proud to announce that our nominated charity for this year is Martin House Children’s Hospice.
Celebrating 30 years of care and support, Martin House provide family-led care for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and support families from across West, North and East Yorkshire, both at their hospice and in the community.
Tim Boggie, Managing Director at Watermark commented: “We are proud to be supporting Martin House this year – [they are] an incredible local charity which make a huge difference to families, by providing vital care and support during some of the most challenging times in their lives.”
John Haigh, Corporate Fundraiser at Martin House added: “We are very grateful to Watermark who have chosen to partner with us as their charity for the year. We rely fundamentally on external support to help us raise the funds we need to support more than 550 families across West, North, and East Yorkshire – with our operating costs of £6 million a year, and look forward to seeing what activities Watermark will be organising and partaking in – good luck to you all, and a massive thank you from everyone at Martin House.”
We are now putting our ‘thinking caps’ on to come up with ways to raise funds – collectively as a team, as well as individually. Keep checking out our blog to hear what activities we will be partaking in – these could range from running events, to bake-offs, to bungee jumps!
**Well done to our Account Manager; Liz Dearden, who has signed up for the Bradford 10K next month and will be running to raise money for Martin House.**
